Our waste sorting programme delivers first results

Last year, Bukovel launched its separate waste collection programme with a clear goal: to send less waste to landfill and return more recyclable materials to production, giving them a second life.

We are already beginning to see tangible results. In the first seven months of 2026 alone, almost 4 tonnes of paper were collected and sent for recycling.

Four tonnes may not sound remarkable at first. But behind that number are hundreds of responsible everyday choices – choosing a recycling container instead of throwing paper into general waste. It reflects the daily efforts of resort employees, partners and everyone helping to build a culture of responsible waste management at Bukovel.

The paper sent for recycling is estimated to have saved around 66 trees while preventing almost 12 cubic metres of waste from ending up in landfill. These numbers demonstrate that small everyday actions can make a meaningful difference when enough of us make them together.

Bukovel continues to expand its waste sorting system, improve the necessary infrastructure and create an environment where sustainable habits become a natural part of both working and vacationing.

Thank you to everyone contributing to this effort – our employees, partners and guests, and everyone who makes the choice to sort their waste each day.

Caring for the Carpathians begins with simple actions. And every sheet of paper sorted for recycling is another small step towards living in harmony with nature.
