Explore the Opanas Zalyvakha plein air almanac

In May 2026, Bukovel became a meeting place for some of Ukraine's most talented artists during the Opanas Zalyvakha National Plein Air, held as part of the Talents of the Nation sustainable development programme with the support of TAVEL Hotel. Inspired by the landscapes, culture, and spirit of the Ukrainian Carpathians, the participants spent several days transforming their impressions into original works of art.

Today, we are pleased to present the digital almanac that brings together every painting created during the plein air. More than a collection of artworks, it is a lasting record of the event and an invitation to experience the Carpathians through the unique perspectives of 14 contemporary Ukrainian artists.

The collection includes works by:

  • Albina Denysova (Kryvyi Rih);
  • Volodymyr Bereznyi (Ivano-Frankivsk);
  • Anastasiia Hryhorieva (Kyiv);
  • Ivan Hutsul (Kamianets-Podilskyi);
  • Vasyl Dub (Uzhhorod);
  • Anastasiia Krainieva (Kyiv);
  • Roman Luchuk (Kosiv);
  • Sofiia Maika (Ivano-Frankivsk);
  • Svitlana Romaniuk (Tulchyn);
  • Volodymyr Sandiuk (Ivano-Frankivsk);
  • Oleksandr Serdiuk (Kharkiv);
  • Viktor Chepynets (Khust);
  • Anatolii Shevchuk (Lviv);
  • Liubomyr Khudiak (Ivano-Frankivsk).

Until the end of August, visitors can also explore the exhibition and charity sale of the plein air artworks in the lobby of TAVEL Hotel. Admission is free, and all proceeds from the sale of the paintings will be donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to every participating artist for sharing their creativity and vision, and for capturing the many faces of the Carpathians – wild, inspiring, authentic, and unforgettable.
