Measurements of noise and light pollution were conducted at Bukovel to assess their compliance with Ukrainian state standards.
Noise pollution is a form of physical (wave) pollution caused by oscillatory changes in air pressure. Its impact on the human body accumulates over time, leading to increased nervous system strain, with no possibility of adaptation.
Light pollution refers to excessive artificial lighting from industrial sources, which disrupts natural biological rhythms and affects the perception of the environment.
The results of the study confirm that noise and light pollution levels in Bukovel comply with Ukrainian state standards, with no violations detected.
The research was carried out by LLC “Kompaniya Center Limited” from Lviv.
Noise levels: In accordance with the regulatory document V.2.5-28:2018, no exceedances of the regulated limits were recorded.
Light levels: In accordance with regulatory document No.463 issued 09.22.2019, all measurements fell within the permissible range.
A follow-up study on noise and light pollution is scheduled for summer 2025.
