Luxoptica: what guests buy at Bukovel

The Luxoptica store at Bukovel, located in Glacier Premium Apartments, has summarized data after two months of operation. The optical store has become a new service point for guests of the all-season resort, combining stylish eyewear solutions with professional eye care.

During this period, nearly 2000 guests visited the store. The most common requests included sports accessories, sunglasses and eye examinations followed by vision correction products selection.

Most buyers are regular customers already familiar with the brand’s service (78%), while 22% of visitors discovered Luxoptica for the first time at Bukovel.

What do guests buy most often?

Active all-season recreation shapes demand. During the winter months, the largest share of sales came from sunglasses and sports goggles – 64%, which is expected for a resort with bright sun and strong snow glare.

Other sales categories include:

  • Prescription glasses – 26%;
  • Contact vision correction products (lenses, solutions and accessories) – 24%.

For mountain holidays, guests most often chose sports goggles by Smith and sunglasses from Ray-Ban, Casta, Polaroid and Oakley – models combining style, comfort and reliable eye protection in high-altitude conditions.

Notably, alongside global brands, the Ukrainian brand Casta (Luxoptica’s own trademark) is also among the top sellers.

Vision diagnostics as part of the service

In addition to retail sales, professional sight testing has become an important part of the store’s service. Over two months, specialists performed more than 40 vision test diagnostics using modern equipment.

Vision test is a comprehensive eye examination that allows completing more than 50 automated tests in a single visit, including accommodation check, night myopia detection and intraocular pressure measurement.

Based on the results, clients receive an accurate prescription and recommendations for vision correction, and can select glasses immediately with the help of professional consultants.

During the first month after opening at Glacier Premium Apartments, guests had an opportunity to take a free vision test when purchasing prescription glasses or contacts.

Among frame brands, Ukrainian manufacturers again show strong demand. Customers most often chose Ray-Ban, Casta, Luxoptica, Polaroid and Marius Morel. The average price of prescription glasses at the Bukovel store (frame+lenses) was about 9500 UAH, confirming demand for quality optics and professional fitting.
