“We have, for the first time, consolidated all environmental data into a single system. The analysis of resource consumption, water use and waste management has helped us clearly define our priorities. We now have clear objectives to reduce our environmental impact. In particular, water quality monitoring remains a key priority – it ensures a safe and comfortable experience for our guests,” said Zakhar Palytsia, shareholder of Bukovel.
The report also covers social initiatives – inclusivity, veteran programmes, cultural projects, international cooperation and the first sociological study of the destination conducted with the support of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and Dnipro Polytechnic University.
“The document marks a shift from individual initiatives to a structured sustainability system: the launch of the Sustainable Development Office, introduction of clear policies, regular data collection, and progress in international eco-certification. It also outlines next steps – improving greenhouse gas accounting (Scope 1-3), expanding partnerships and strengthening cooperation with communities,” noted Bohdan Krasavtsev, Head of the Sustainable Development Office at Bukovel.
The report was prepared by the Sustainable Development Office team. Earlier, they presented a baseline Sustainability Report for 2024, which outlined key directions and initial achievements.
Bukovel continues to set a new benchmark for tourism in Ukraine – responsible, inclusive and environmentally conscious. This report is not only a summary of the year, but also a roadmap for future development and a clear example of how a leading resort integrates sustainability into every aspect of its operations.
