Bike rental in Bukovel: 45 bikes now available for guests
JET Ride bike rental is now available in Bukovel. Guests can choose from several duration plans, while the service’s system tracks each bike’s location and monitors the designated riding zones.
We spoke with the JET Ride team to learn how many bikes are currently available, what the rental options cost, how the safety system works and where guests can pick up and leave their bikes.
— How many bikes are currently available to rent? Are you planning to expand the fleet?
At the moment, 45 adult bikes are available. We are also planning to add another 7 children’s bikes in the coming days, making the service available to the resort’s youngest guests as well.
— What rental options are currently available?
Guests can choose from three passes:
- JET Start – 30 minutes for shorter rides, priced at UAH 150;
- JET Ride – 1 hour, priced at UAH 250;
- JET Explore – 3 hours, ideal for longer rides and exploring the Bukovel area, priced at UAH 500.
If your pass expires and you would like to keep riding, you can purchase another one. The system can also automatically extend your ride by an additional 30 minutes.
— How does the system prevent guests from riding outside the permitted area and ensure bikes are returned to the designated locations?
The system combines customer verification through the Diia app with telematics equipment installed on every bike.
If a bike enters a restricted zone, it emits an audible warning and the customer receives a notification on their phone asking them to return to the permitted area.
Rides can also only be started and ended at designated bike parking locations across Bukovel Resort. All available locations can be viewed directly in the JET Ride app.
— The bikes were initially placed at five locations. Are you planning to expand the parking network?
Yes. In addition to the five original locations – car park P1, the souvenir market, the Ferris wheel, the ski-bus station for Mountain Residence and the parking area near Bukovel Apart – two more bike parking locations are already available.
Guests can now also leave their bikes near VODA Club and in the third residential zone.
— How long will the bike rental service operate this season?
JET Ride is scheduled to operate until 30 November this season. We plan to reopen the service towards the end of March, as soon as consistently warm weather returns.
— Are there currently any promo codes or special discounts for first-time users?
There are no dedicated promo codes for first-time users at the moment. However, the pricing structure itself offers better value when you choose a longer ride.
For example, the one-hour pass offers 15% better value than the 30-minute option. The three-hour pass, meanwhile, offers 33% better value than the one-hour pass and 44% better value than the 30-minute pass.
This allows guests to choose the option that best matches how much time they would like to spend exploring Bukovel by bike.
