FIS Ukrainian Open Snowboarding Championship at Bukovel
Bukovel resort is a symbol of sporting excellence! The official wintersports competition season has commenced on the slopes of the Carpathians. For the next two months, hundreds of skiers and boarders will gather to demonstrate their athletic prowess.
The season opened with the Open Ukrainian Snowboarding Championship held under the auspices of the FIS.
In the parallel giant slalom, Mykhailo Kabaliuk secured the bronze medal, Andrii Kabaliuk claimed silver, while Mykhailo Kharuk defended his champion title for the second consecutive year. Among the women, Annamarie Dancha once again took the top podium spot, followed by Oleksandra Maliovana in second place and Eleonora Pavlyuk in third.
The competition continued the next day with the parallel slalom discipline. Nadiia Hapatyn earned the bronze medal in the girls' category, Eleonora Pavliuk claimed silver, and Annamarie Dancha reaffirmed her dominance, winning the title of absolute champion of the Open Ukrainian Snowboarding Championship.
In a reversal of the previous day's results, the Kabaliuk brothers exchanged podium positions – Andrii finished third, while Mykhailo claimed silver. Mykhailo Kharuk successfully defended his championship title once again.
The wintersports competition season at Bukovel will last until early April, showcasing the talent of Ukraine’s top athletes.
