Swimming in the Lake of Youth
If you enjoy spending time by the water, Bukovel has plenty to offer. Alongside MAVKA Aquapark, the resort is home to one of its summer highlights – the Lake of Youth, a true mountain gem. This June, the lake will officially receive the prestigious Blue Flag award – an internationally recognised symbol of high environmental and safety standards. The certification confirms compliance with more than 30 criteria, including excellent water quality, lifeguard services, a medical station and visitor information infrastructure. The exact opening date depends on weather conditions (for example, in 2025 the season started on 6 June). Access to the lake and beach area is free, while sunbed and towel rentals are available at an additional cost.
Forest walks and mountain adventures
For those who enjoy hiking and exploring nature, Bukovel offers seven scenic routes of varying difficulty with a total length of over 70 kilometres, all starting from the Tour Centre. The resort’s official Tour Centre organises guided tours across different parts of the Carpathians, including hikes to famous Ukrainian two-thousanders and nearby peaks such as Malyi Gorgan, Syniak, Khomiak and Yavirnyk-Gorgan.
Guests can also choose family-friendly trips across the region, rafting or bike tours to Vorokhta and Polonyna Pertsiv.
Music events and stand-up nights
Bukovel is also full of places where you can spend your evenings in a lively atmosphere. We especially recommend the hotels Hvoya and Tavel together with their restaurants "Kukhnia Hir" and "Koreni". Throughout the season, they regularly host live music evenings, stand-up performances, theatre shows and other entertainment events open to all guests.
This May, the venues launched SUMMER FEST, bringing a packed line-up of artists to Bukovel throughout the summer and autumn, including Kalush Orchestra, Viktor Pavlik, Ivan Popovych, Pavlo Zibrov, Alena Omargalieva, Skofka, Cheev and Anna Trincher. Stand-up comedians Lera Mandziuk and Vova Shumko, along with entertainment groups "VIP Ternopil" and "30+", are also expected to perform during the season.
You can follow the latest event updates on the official Telegram channel of Hvoya and Tavel.
See you in the next publications. There is always something happening in Bukovel – especially in summer!
