Two colourful new spectacles have appeared at Bukovel, and they are already set to become some of the resort's most popular photo spots – and perhaps the Carpathians' next Instagram stars. Near the famous giant swings and the Ferris wheel, guests can now meet Buk, a fairy-tale guardian of the forest who embodies the spirit of Bukovel.
Buk is a friendly, charming little character, full of thoughtful details that capture the warmth and magic of the Carpathian forests. Perched comfortably on his shoulder is a brightly coloured salamander, adding a distinctive local touch to his fairy-tale appearance. Salamanders are native to this area and are listed in the Red Data Book of Ukraine. You can read more about these fascinating creatures here.
You can meet Buk at two of the resort's most popular locations:
- Near the giant swings – the perfect spot for a panoramic mountain photo with this charming forest character;
- Beside the Ferris wheel – where another Buk welcomes visitors against a beautiful backdrop overlooking the Lake of Youth, adding a touch of fairy-tale magic to the scenery.
