Early autumn is the perfect opportunity to make the most of the season’s final warm and sunny days. Autumn also marks the beginning of the golden season for mushroom picking. There is the excitement of finding your next mushroom, of course, but wandering through a peaceful forest can also be a wonderfully meditative way to spend time outdoors.
The mushroom season continues throughout September and October and can even stretch into November, with the forests offering porcini mushrooms, chanterelles and honey mushrooms along the way.
