Bukovel's central area is undergoing one of the most significant transformations in its history. The redevelopment is creating a contemporary public space designed to be more welcoming, more accessible, and better connected to everyday life at the resort.
According to the official project documentation, the development includes construction of a new multifunctional complex within the Bukovel tourist resort in Polyanytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk Region. Commissioned by Bukovel LLC, the project will bring together vibrant public areas, commercial facilities, and new places to relax in a setting that complements the surrounding Carpathian landscape.
The first phase of the project is expected to be completed by the end of December 2026.
What has changed so far?
As construction progresses, the central square is temporarily closed to most visitors.
- Market stalls have moved to the Lower Promenade.
- The Tourist Information Centre is now welcoming guests from the Fairground.
- Pedestrian routes have been adjusted to ensure visitors can continue enjoying the resort while construction continues safely nearby.
A new cultural and social hub
Once complete, the heart of Bukovel will look and feel completely different.
The new central space will feature:
- a modern amphitheatre for concerts, festivals, cultural events, and seasonal celebrations;
- spacious public areas designed for relaxation and everyday gathering;
- contemporary architecture that blends naturally into the mountain landscape;
- upgraded infrastructure to enhance the visitor experience.

Universal accessibility has been a central principle throughout the design process.
The new public space is being created to ensure comfortable access for wheelchair users, families with pushchairs, older guests, and visitors of all abilities. The project reflects Bukovel's long-term commitment to inclusive design and accessible tourism.

When construction is complete, the renewed central square will become the resort's main meeting place – a welcoming venue for festivals, concerts, celebrations, community events, and everyday moments spent outdoors.
