Bukovel and the Polyanytsia local community have signed a partnership agreement aimed at working more closely together to support the sustainable growth of the region.
The agreement sets out a shared commitment to:
- staying in regular contact and exchanging updates;
- joint planning of events and initiatives;
- developing tourism infrastructure and promoting eco-friendly travel;
- launching joint projects to spread environmental awareness, especially among children;
- raising the profile of the community across Ukraine;
- attracting new investment into tourism and helping shape the long-term vision for the region.
This step is part of Bukovel’s wider goal to become a certified sustainable destination, aligned with international Green Destinations standards.
“This partnership is an important milestone for the region,” says Bohdan Krasavtsev, Head of the Bukovel Sustainable Development Office. “It helps drive local economic growth, preserve our natural and cultural heritage, and improve everyday life for people living here. We’re already preparing for a busy summer season filled with shared projects and community events.”
Bukovel has also previously partnered with Ukraine’s State Agency for Tourism Development and the Ski Federation of Ukraine to support sustainability across the tourism sector.
