Staff trainings bring Bukovel together

Over the past year, Bukovel has run five staff trainings – from broader sessions on sustainable development to focused workshops that build inclusive service and strengthen team skills across different areas.

In 2025–2026, Mykhailo Nalyvaiko delivered four trainings on inclusivity for Bukovel employees.

The first, general session took place at "Buka" EC in October 2025. In 2026, the meetings moved into a targeted format for specific teams: MAVKA aquapark, Bukovel Medical Center, and the Information Center staff.

The trainings covered accessibility, respectful communication with guests with disabilities and with veterans, and practical scenarios that service teams face every day.

Bohdan Krasavtsev, Head of the Bukovel Sustainable Development Office:

“For us, these trainings are not a one-time activity – they are part of the resort’s everyday work. Inclusivity is about a culture of interaction, attentiveness to people, and practical skills. This is how we deliver Bukovel’s sustainable development strategy – through hands-on learning and consistent service improvements.”

Mykhailo Nalyvaiko, Coordinator for Inclusivity and Veteran Policy, says the format has proven to be highly practical and genuinely useful:

“We discussed real situations that employees encounter. I’m glad the sessions attract a strong turnout and lead to active discussion. And if questions remain afterwards, I’m always open to a conversation and happy to clarify. I also want to highlight that every training included hands-on practice – how to help a wheelchair user navigate stairs, how to steady a wheelchair on a steep incline, and more. As a war veteran, I also focused on the specifics of communicating with veterans: in a dialogue format, we looked at several crisis situations and possible ways to de-escalate conflict.”

Training on inclusivity and veteran policy is part of Bukovel’s daily operations and its long-term sustainable development approach – so every guest can feel comfortable and safe.
