Moving away from glass packaging

Today we are speaking with “Faini Liody” – a craft ice cream workshop widely represented across Bukovel resort. The brand offers more than 130 flavours, ranging from classic recipes to more unusual combinations. At the end of 2025, “Faini Liody” also opened its own coffee shop at the resort. Four locations now operate year-round in Bukovel, with four seasonal outdoor counters launched in May and three additional locations planned for summer.

Greetings! Which ice cream flavours are currently the most popular among Bukovel guests?

Hello! Overall, the preferences of guests visiting Bukovel and “Faini Liody” are quite similar to general trends across Ukraine. The most popular flavours include mango, pistachio, lemon-mint and vanilla.

How do you form the team working in Bukovel? What kind of customer-oriented training do employees receive?

Every member of the “Faini Liody” team represents the company in direct communication with guests. That is why friendliness, openness and the ability to help are extremely important for us. We always remind our employees that they are not only offering quality craft ice cream, but also creating an emotion – joy, comfort and warm childhood memories.

For Bukovel specifically, we also pay attention to basic English skills, so employees can communicate with international guests, explain ingredients and recommend flavours. In addition, we regularly organise training sessions focused on customer experience, product presentation and conflict management.

Does the company support sustainability principles? What practical steps are you taking in this direction?

Yes, we are gradually implementing more sustainable solutions. One of the key steps has been replacing part of our packaging with more environmentally responsible alternatives. We plan to completely phase out glass jars, as they are bulky and difficult to store and recycle efficiently. Instead, we introduced cardboard packaging for different product formats and customer needs. Ice cream in 500 ml cardboard cups is already available.

Would you consider replacing disposable plastic spoons with wooden alternatives?

At many of our locations, we already use compostable spoons as an alternative.

Would you also support a 5 UAH discount for guests bringing own reusable cups for hot drinks? Several Bukovel partners have already introduced this initiative.

Yes, absolutely. We would be happy to support such an initiative.

Thank you for the conversation! We wish your team continued success and happy customers. We are looking forward to growing together!
