Sustainability office unveils strategic action plan

The Bukovel Sustainability Office recently presented its current activities and long-term vision for the resort’s green transformation.

The event marked a key milestone in implementing a more systematic approach to environmental, economic, and social sustainability across Bukovel.

During the presentation, the team outlined several priority initiatives, including “Sustainability for Children,” “Green Mobility,” the “Clean Energy” program, and its close cooperation with the Polianytsia territorial community.

“Our main focus was the launch of Bukovel Sorts! – a comprehensive waste sorting program that’s set to start this summer. We discussed the design of collection bins and addressed a common myth: that ‘everything ends up in one container.’ That’s simply not true,” noted Bohdan Krasavtsev, Head of the Bukovel Sustainability Office.

“Bukovel Sorts! is one of the most ambitious projects we’ve taken on so far – and the recycling will be real. We’ve signed a partnership agreement with Alpha-Recycling, a trusted company based in Ivano-Frankivsk, to process plastic, glass, and paper,” he added.

As a reminder: to mark World Environment Day, the Sustainability Office published a selection of Bukovel’s key environmental case studies.

Earlier, Bohdan Krasavtsev also shared reflections on the challenges of implementing eco-initiatives at scale – and offered a glimpse of Bukovel’s future in 2035.
