“I see great opportunities for investment and development”

Today, we're talking to Ramzy Salib, Director of the management company behind the upcoming hotels Velmy and Escape City.

— Ramzy, welcome! Could you tell us about your professional journey and your experience in tourism and hospitality?

I have more than 20 years of hospitality experience across the Middle East, Asia and Europe. I began my career in 2004 as a front desk manager and gradually progressed through both the commercial and operational sides of the industry. For around 12 years, I have held senior management positions at director level. Most recently, I was involved in opening two hotels under the Accor brand, serving as Director of Sales and Marketing (DOSM) and General Manager (GM).

For me, hospitality is more than a career – it is a way of life. That is why I continuously invest in developing my professional skills, including earning an eCornell certification. I consider teamwork, discipline, resilience and a constant drive for success to be among my key strengths.

— What attracted you to Bukovel and motivated you to become part of the resort’s development?

Bukovel is growing rapidly and has already established itself as one of the country’s largest and most important destinations. I see significant opportunities for further investment and development here, and I am proud to be involved in these promising new beginnings.

I also greatly value the opportunity to work with owners who have a strong understanding of the business and create the conditions needed to bring ambitious, large-scale projects to life.

— What are the main goals and ideas behind the Velmy and Escape City projects?

Both hotels will have their own unique identity and the potential to contribute to the future development of Bukovel as a tourist destination.

A strong concept, carefully considered design and well-planned infrastructure centred around guest comfort, combined with attractive returns and professional management, will create a model designed to benefit both guests and investors.

— What sets these projects apart from other tourism and hospitality properties?

The strength of the management company, combined with thoughtfully designed amenities and infrastructure, will allow guests to enjoy a comfortable stay throughout the year within a single hotel complex offering everything they need.

— What challenges do you expect to encounter while developing and managing these projects?

It is still too early to identify specific challenges, as we are currently in the preparation and launch stages. Nevertheless, we are optimistic about what lies ahead. We are confident that motivation, teamwork and resilience will allow us to overcome the challenges we encounter while remaining focused on successfully delivering these projects.

— What would you like to achieve in Bukovel over the next few years, and what is your long-term vision for Velmy and Escape City?

Our primary goal is to create something truly unique – a place people can experience for themselves, discover and genuinely enjoy visiting.

We want to set a new benchmark for the resort, contribute to the continued development of domestic tourism and make the destination even more attractive and accessible to international visitors.
