The principles of responsible tourism are straightforward:
- support local producers and artisans instead of global chains;
- choose eco-friendly ways to move – walk, cycle or take public transport;
- follow nature-friendly behaviour – don’t litter and don’t disturb flora and fauna;
- respect local traditions, culture and everyday life;
- avoid activities that may harm animals or natural ecosystems.
In 2024, Bukovel joined a global initiative committed to sustainable tourism development. Our goal is to make the resort an example of harmony between people and nature, comfort and environmental responsibility.

The rules are simple and actionable.
- Sort your waste – 16 sorting containers for glass, plastic and paper are available across the resort.
- Avoid campfires, loud music in the forest and leaving any waste behind.
- Keep rivers and lakes clean – they feed and protect this region.
- Switch off lights, water and chargers when you don’t need them.
- Use reusable bottles, eco-bags and your own cups.
- Travel around the resort on the free Bukovel Bus – it runs every hour. Track it online and help reduce CO₂ emissions.
- Explore seven scenic hiking routes offered by our Tour Center.
