Mt. Khomiak is a popular hike destination in the region, adding another entry into your list of achievements. The route does not require significant physical training, being available to adults and children alike. The flat summit of the mountain is known for its observary value: from here you can clearly see Chornohora – the greatest ridge in Ukraine, with mountains Hoverla and Petros.
Mountains will gradually reveal to you in all their majestic grandeur: all the way through the forest where ancient trees grow, the grass scent is odorous and the vibrant streams rustling, up to the top. Khomiak itself is covered with green, mossy stones, commonly referred to by locals as "tsekoty", which shimmer under the sun and seem to be alive.
