Does clean air help you sleep better?

Have you noticed yourself sleeping better while being in the mountains? An evening stroll through the neighboring forest, a cup of the "Carpathian herbal" tea on the terrace – what better way to finish a day well-spent? In the morning, you feel like a newborn. The positive factor here is not just so-called 'slow life' in the lap of nature (although it's also quite beneficial), but the quality of fresh mountain air.

From your own experience, you know how to sleep in a fresh, airy room. You fall asleep faster, thus it's useful to get used to sleeping with an open window, regardless of the season. Moreover, this is confirmed by scientists specializing in the study of sleep quality.

A study done by Harvard School of Public Health indicates that people who sleep in unventilated rooms, saturated with microscopic particles – wake up more often during the night and have lesser sleep quality overall. They may feel tired in the morning.

A study by the National Institutes of Health found that ventilation and the use of air purifiers reduce CO2 levels, which significantly improves air quality and reduces the allergic symptoms. A sufficient amount of oxygen helps the brain restore its performance and calms the nervous system. In short: the cleaner the air you breathe, the better you sleep.

We spend 30-40% of our lives sleeping, thus neglecting such a huge part of it is a big misstep. Choose a comfortable pillow, soft pajamas and body cream with a pleasant aroma.

Before you leave on your mountain retreat, pack it all in your suitcase (okay, leave the pillow at home, we got you covered) and come to sleep to Bukovel, where you can breathe mountain air devoid of dust, industrial waste and exhaust gases. After all, healthy sleep is a luxury in our perilous times. Sweet dreams!
