Bukovel hosts first sustainable development training

Bukovel's Sustainable Development Office has conducted its first major training session for senior managers of the resort’s core departments.

The training focused on key issues related to sustainable development and responsible tourism. The event was held with the participation of Mariia Panova, Bukovel’s Training Manager.

"I was truly pleased that during the training we managed to address some complex and even controversial topics, such as waste sorting and off-road jeep tours in the Carpathians. When an audience is engaged, they drive the conversation and encourage others to participate – and that’s exactly what happened during this first session. Through open discussion, we find clarity, and what matters most is that the dialogue continued even after the event ended," shared Mariia Panova.

Among the participants were managers from the “MAVKA” aquapark, restaurant "NUMO", and "Hutsul Land" folk-park, as well as representatives of the Polianytsia local community.

“Sustainable development is not just about ecosystem preservation – it also includes economic, social, cultural, and accessibility issues. Judging by our colleagues’ feedback, we realized these training sessions must continue. They spark interest and encourage everyone to take real steps forward,”
noted Bohdan Krasavtsev, Head of Bukovel’s Sustainable Development Office.

The Office plans to extend the training initiative soon to all employees of the Bukovel tourist destination.
