Bukovel’s modern wastewater system

Bukovel continues to prove itself not only as Ukraine’s leading tourist destination but also as a champion of environmental responsibility.

The resort operates a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment facility with a capacity of 4,000 m³ per day, ensuring all wastewater is thoroughly purified before being released back into natural water systems.

At the heart of the process is the S-TECH technology – a multi-stage biological treatment system. It uses beneficial microorganisms to naturally break down organic pollutants, turning wastewater into clean, safe water that meets strict environmental standards.

Treated water is discharged only with a special water use permit issued by the State Water Resources Agency of Ukraine, and quality is regularly monitored by the Dniester Basin Water Resources Administration. Annual environmental audits ensure full compliance and transparency.

Once again, Bukovel sets an example of how tourism and sustainability can go hand in hand – without compromise.

Previously, we also reported on the resort’s clean drinking water, provided by a high-capacity filtration plant that uses advanced purification and disinfection methods.
