A simple route through the territory of the Carpathian National Nature Park.
Contact info

Traverse along the blue-marked route within the Carpathian National Nature Park – through the upper reaches of the Prut River, which begins near Hoverla. The route’s highlight is the Hoverliana Waterfall, the highest-altitude waterfall in Ukraine (over 80 m of cascading height), formed by the erosion of flysch rock combined with high moisture levels on the slopes.

Spruce forests, patchwork alpine meadows, mountain streams and high-altitude meadows are the main peculiarity of the Chornohora mid-mountain range. This journey offers a clear sense of how climate, geology and Carpathian flora interact in a natural environment.

The walk concludes by visiting a traditional food shack in the village of Stara Vorokhta, where region's famous grilled trout is served.

In the Carpathians, trout is more than a dish – it reflects the local way of life, where cuisine is closely tied to nature, pure mountain water and ancient traditions. Fish is prepared over an open fire, and the atmosphere blends authentic gastronomy with Carpathian hospitality.
