Bukovel welcomes Volya project
A couple of days ago, Bukovel was honored to host a series of adaptive wintersports events aimed at supporting veterans and advancing adaptive sports programs in Ukraine.
The resort gladly provided the necessary infrastructure for training, combining own capabilities with an inclusive approach and a strong sense of social responsibility. Supporting adaptive sports is an integral part of our long-term commitment to inclusivity and recovery through physical activity.
Adaptive sport is more than just a movement. It is a path to psychological recovery, a way to regain confidence, and a space for building a supportive community that inspires and empowers people to return to an active life.
Within the project, participants were able to:
- choose one of three winter disciplines – alpine skiing, snowboarding, or cross-country skiing;
- train under the guidance of Ukrainian and British instructors;
- gain their first experience in adaptive winter sports.
The Volya project was implemented by The Armed Forces Para-Snowsport Team with the support of the Invictus Games Foundation, in cooperation with Bukovel Ski School (BSS), ASSIU – the Association of Ski and Snowboard Instructors of Ukraine, and Stratcom Ukraine (Invictus Games Ukraine).
For Bukovel, it is essential to be not only a destination for leisure and sport, but also a space for recovery, solidarity, and socially responsible action.
