CHRISTMAS CAROLING

Caroling and vertep festivals are traditional events to be held for our Christmastime guests. Carols are ritual chant songs to be of a sacred meaning for Christian people. Being performed on Christmas and Epiphany days, those are an essential component to give winter holidays their incomparable feeling of secrecy, cheerfulness and spirituality. Needless to say, how important it is to preserve the tradition of Christmas singing and reciting, as in integral part of our common culture.

For the event, we’ll summon folklore and ethnographic crews from our entire region. Dive deep into the atmosphere of Ukraine’s major religious and family festival, either to learn or restore memories of ancient Ukrainian carols and schedrivki! As usual, we will determine the best amateur singers and reciters and treat them with pleasant Christmas gifts.
