SECOND FESTIVAL OF UKRAINIAN WEDDING

Tourist Complex Bukovel invites all to visit the Second Festival of Ukrainian Wedding on October 12 2014!

Program of the Festival
11:00 Public worship in honour of the newlyweds in the Church of Presentation of the Virgin in the Temple (Polyanytsya village, Yaremcha town council)
12.30 Wedding cortege from Polyanytsya to TC Bukovel
13:00 Festival opening ceremony.
14.30 Theatrical folk performance:
brocade, blandishments, engagement, bride purchasing, blessing of newlyweds, merry wedding entertainments by the best folk and ethnographic bands, wedding musicians, orchestras and trio-musicians.

Contests:

  • Best wedding couple of Ukraine. Award - honeymoon in TC Bukovel!
  • Best wedding embroidered towel.
  • Best and the most tasty round loaf.
  • Contest of wedding musicians.
  • The most tight-knit "koromiko" (folk Hutsul dance).
  • Best lullaby by young couples and grandparents-to-be.
  • Contest of toast masters
  • Best wedding cake.


Don't miss the contest of restaurants for the best Ukrainian and Hutsul dishes.
We will also run master classes of pottery, rag dolls, Ukrainian souvenirs, folk dances; and art gallery of applied arts. Participate in our folk festival, fun games and competitions, Ukrainian dances. See the show by National academic Hutsul choir "Hutsuliya".

All newlyweds, folk and ethnographic groups, wedding musicians, toast masters, masters of folk arts, restaurants and kolybas, all amateurs of Ukrainian folk traditions and ceremonies are invited to participate.

Join our celebration and learn the beauty and sacrament of Ukrainian traditional wedding ceremony.

Festival will be held with the support of people's deputy of Ukraine Oleksandr Shevchenko.
