WINTER-SWIMMING FESTIVAL IN “BUKOVEL”

On the Orthodox Day of Epiphany, 19th January, ice-cold water has the power to cure and renew. For the ninth time, TC “Bukovel” welcomes International Winter-swimming festival for “walruses” from Ukraine and abroad. The main intention is to preserve the old Christian tradition, to expand the winter-swimming community and to popularize the healthy way of life among the youth.

So here is the festival program:
- Holly Mess and water blessing;
- Opening ceremony;
- Winter swimming competitions;
- Entertainment program;
- Award ceremony.

150-liter cauldron of traditional Cossack “Kulish” (thick gruel of cornflour) for all the guests and participants!

Where:
Tourist complex “Bukovel”, Polyanytsia village, Yaremche district of Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Start of the Mess: 2:00 PM, near the central lake.
