11 venues have joined the list of certified eco-friendly properties!
At Bukovel, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword – it’s a commitment we put into practice every day. As part of this ongoing effort, nine more hotels and the NUMO restaurant have now earned the Green Key certification, a global eco-label awarded to tourism facilities that meet high environmental and sustainability standards.
This brings the total number of certified properties at the resort to eleven, with the newcomers joining RADISSON and GLACIER. The newly certified venues include:
HAY by EDEM Family, TAVEL, HVOYA, TWINS, MOUNTAIN RESIDENCE, BUKOVEL HOTEL, BUKOVEL APART, BUKOVEL CHALET, SHELTER, and the NUMO restaurant.
The Green Key program operates in over 80 countries and recognizes hotels and venues that demonstrate measurable efforts in areas such as energy efficiency, water conservation, responsible waste management, and the use of environmentally friendly materials.
These aren’t symbolic gestures – they reflect real, everyday choices that prioritize nature.
“According to recent surveys, more than 70% of our guests choose Bukovel to connect with nature and breathe clean mountain air,” says Bohdan Krasavtsev, Head of Bukovel’s Sustainable Development Office. For us, preserving the unique Carpathian environment isnєt optional – it’s essential. We invest in eco-infrastructure, use renewable energy, implement advanced recycling systems, reduce single-use plastics, and promote green mobility. Certification is one step – not the finish line – in our long-term vision to reshape Bukovel into a leading destination.”
Our approach to sustainability goes beyond resort boundaries. It’s part of a broader mission to reduce tourism’s environmental impact while supporting local communities and protecting the Carpathians for future generations.
Because at Bukovel, delivering hospitality and respecting the planet go hand in hand!
