Buko Trail 2025: three days of strength and endurance!

A Trail in the Heart of the Carpathians? You bet!

On August 1-3, Bukovel became the heart of trail running in Ukraine and a hub for personal achievements with the annual Buko Trail 2025 competition.

A total of 800 participants from across Ukraine took part. Additionally, the Ukrainian Skyrunning Championship was held as part of the event – an extreme mountain discipline where altitude changes and technical routes offer a true test of endurance.

Runners challenged themselves across the Carpathian ridges, forest trails, and steep climbs – from the amateur 8 km course to the ultra-routes stretching 160 km.

The event program featured:

  • 8, 24, 40, 48, 100, 160 km routes and a 'vertical kilometer' race;
  • children’s races of 200 and 1000 meters.

The routes traversed some of the most spectacular mountain ranges – Chornohora, Svydovets, and Eastern Gorgany. Participants scaled Hoverla and Petros, passed Lake Vorozheska, and took in stunning views of Blynnytsya, Khomiak, Syniak, and Malyi Gorgan.

It was three unforgettable days filled with a vibrant sense of community and kinship. Each finish line marked a personal victory. Every distance was a story of strength that began with a single step.

A huge thank you to all participants, organizers, partners, and supporters.

See you at Buko Trail 2026!
