IV-TH ETHNO FESTIVAL “TO VASSYL TO CELEBRATE ST. BASIL’S DAY”

TC “Bukovel” invites everybody to the IV-th ethno festival “To Vassyl to celebrate st. Basil’s day”!

It's the fourth time Ukrainian Carpathians in ski resort "Bukovel" will host the celebration of St.Basil's Day. This ancient New-Year celebration will show you the fun and unforgettable style of Ukrainian winter celebrations (St.Basil's Day, old-style New-Year and Malanka).

The Fest organizers offer a very interesting celebration program. Beside the traditional Christmas carols, "Malanka" - the folk theatrical performance with Goat - the old year symbol, Old Man, Old Woman, Jewish couple, Gypsy couple, Gunman, Doctor, Cossack, Crane; we will also have 150 little well-wishers seeding tourists with grain for happiness, health and fulfillment of dreams.

Participants of these rituals will greet all and play the traditional comic sketches: "Fight of Old man and Woman", "Goat Milking", "Goat Selling on a Fair", "Goat Beating and Curing". Funny folk show will be accomplished by mime show and dances.

You will also participate in lit of games, contests and merriments.

Name-day person and ethno festival organizer - art-director of TC "Bukovel" Vassyl Volochiy - promises merry Hutsul funtime with entertainments, flirts, fortune-telling, treatments, songs and dances, charming violin and cymbalo tunes 

Vassyl will also give the master-class in cooking Ukrainian sushi by his own recipes. Base of these sushi is not nori seaweed and Chinese rice, but homemade crepes and mashed potatoes with milk and butter. We will stuff them with bacon and pickled cucumbers, onions and dill; and replace wasabi with Ukrainian horseradish sauce. 

And by no means we are afraid of cold - we will get warm with Hutsul "hrenovukha" vodka!
