UKRAINIAN SLOPESTYLE SKIING CHAMPIONSHIP
TC "Bukovel" brings you the competition among the country's best freestylers!
When: March 5-7.
Where: “Bukovel Snow Park”, slope 8A.
In our preparation for international competitive events in our resort, we welcome the Ukraine’s best riders to guarantee the best possible competition experience for fans and sportsmen. Our intension is to contribute to the success of winter sports in the country, thus TC “Bukovel” is a proud sponsor and host of alpine ski, snowboard and freestyle competitions in the 2016-2017 winter season.
Slopestyle is a freestyle ski discipline in which athletes ski or snowboard down a course with a variety of obstacles including rails, jumps and other terrain park features. It requires exceptional physical conditions and precision in performing tricks. One falling or other technical flaw on the course may cause defeat, as it leads to dramatic speed loss, making it impossible to perform further tricks.
Points are scored for amplitude, originality and quality of tricks. Skiers are judged on a cumulative score.
Competition schedule:
March 5
11:00 am - 3:00 pm - Training session.
March 6
10:00 am - 11:30 am - Training session;
11:30 am - 2:30 pm - Competitive stage (adults, boys and girls). (Run 1, Run 2);
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm - Awarding ceremony.
March 7
10:00 am - 12:00 pm - Training session;
12:00 pm – 1:30 pm – Qualifier stage (adults). (Run 1, Run 2);
1:30 pm - 2:30 pm - Final stage (adults). (Run 1, Run 2);
4:30 pm - 5:30 pm - Awarding ceremony.
