BUKOVEL – UKRAINE'S CAPITAL OF WINTERSPORTS!

28 MARCH 2024
Bukovel – Ukraine's capital of wintersports!

From February 7 to March 15, the official wintersports competition season took place at Bukovel.

Being a responsible business, our top priority is contributing to the development of sports and popularizing the healthy way of life. For more than a month, wintersports competitions unfolded on the slopes of Bukovel. Despite the full-scale war being waged against our country, we've managed to hold the events at the highest level. The organizing team created proper training conditions for athletes, meanwhile putting maximum effort into slope preparation.

Over 20 competitive events took place during the season, including championships of Ukraine in alpine skiing, freestyle and snowboarding, the Ukrainian Alpine Ski Cup, as well as international FIS-supported competitions. In total, Bukovel welcomed more than 800 professional athletes this year.

As we ponder the results, we are especially proud of the younger participants. It is important to contribute to the upbringing of the national team reserve from the very young age, providing them with enough opportunites before they represent our country at the international level.

Along with the talented youth, we were honored to welcome our country's renowned champions – Annamarie Dancha, Mykhailo Kharuk, Kateryna Kotsar and Oleksandr Abramenko.

It was during this season that fans became an important part of the competitions. New fan zones were prepared, so that cheering for favorite athletes became more comfortable.

Initially, the season was scheduled to finish on March 5. However, thanks to the favorable weather and slopes conditions, it was prolonged until March 15, as several events were moved from the neighboring Zakarpattia region.

We would like to thank everyone involved in this wonderful celebration of wintersports!
