FIS UKRAINIAN FREESTYLE CHAMPIONSHIP
Dear freestyle fans!
We are pleased to inform that once again TC "Bukovel" is a proud host of the Ukrainian open freestyle championship in slopestyle and big air, supported by FIS.
The event is included into the world competition schedule of the International Ski Federation (FIS). Therefore, it will be held according to FIS standards, supervised by FIS technical delegate to Ukraine Olha Zinkiv, and evaluated by the international category jury team from Slovenia and Austria, who have repeatedly umpired at the Olympic Games and World Cups.
The championship will be attended by the national team of Ukraine, led by the bronze medalist of the Youth Olympic Games, our "big air" rizing star Orest Kovalenko, as well as promising athletes from the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Georgia.

Slopestyle - involves a series of acrobatic jumps using special figures like springboards, pyramids, counter-slopes, rails, which are installed over the course of the track in a certain order. The discipline requires good physical and technical condition and presize accuracy of trick performance. For example, a single fall during the run leads to a loss of speed, which makes it impossible to perform the subsequent tricks, thus meaning a guaranteed defeat. Often the figures are arranged as cascades, so the athlete decides for themselves where and how to perform the trick.
Big air - a skier or snowboarder accelerates and jumps off a large springboard, performing various tricks mid air. The flight distance ranges from 5 to 30 meters.

February 17-18, 2021. Competitive runs.
11:15 - qualifiers (men/ladies 2 jumps).
14:00 - finals (men/ladies 3 jumps).
Slopestyle/big air NC, adults
February 19-20, 2021. Competitive runs.
11:15 - qualifiers (men/ladies 2 jumps).
14:00 - finals (men/ladies 3 jumps).
Slopestyle/big-air, youngsters and juniors
February 21-22, 2021. Competitive runs.
11:15 - qualifiers (youngsters/juniors 2 jumps).
14:00 - finals (youngsters/juniors 2 jumps).
