You should definitely try the true Ukrainian cuisine in the “Filvarok” tavern.
“Filvarok” tavern combines five locations in different parts of TC “Bukovel”: first one – on the upper dwelling street of Bukovel hotel; others – at the top stations of ski lifts No 2R, 5, 11 and nearby the lower station of ski lift No 12.
Though interior designs of the taverns vary (each one shows the archaistic house decoration of different parts of Ukraine), entering any of these taverns you will understand that here we respect and keep the traditions and customs of our past.
Here in the taverns people celebrate national and church festivals with the best old traditions. Heartily atmosphere of a true hospitality is supplemented with Ukrainian folk bands and Ukrainian folk songs.
Varied and enticing menu card offers several kinds of dumplings, potato hash browns, potato patties, home-style pickled vegetables, famous Ukrainian borshch (red-beet soup) with sour cream and fritters with garlic, specialty collations of several kinds of meat and, of course, the most delicate bacon. There’s always shashlik of different kinds of fresh and dripping meat in spiced marinade ready on outdoors grill.
Even for the most sophisticated gourmets local Hutsul dishes will be the real find: banosh – cornmeal mush cooked with sour cream with brinzen cheese and crunchy cracklings; savory mushroom soup with mountain ceps; potato patties cooked in jugs with cream, mushrooms and veal.
Cold branded vodka “khrenovuha” with extracts of horse radish and honey spiced with aromatic herbs is the ideal decision to accent all these tasty things. And what is also important, you won’t feel any hangover.
To say it shortly, “Filvarok” will give you everything to your taste.
