On April 11 2012 the new record of Ukraine in the category “Sports, special training, public events” – Freeride downhill from six highest peaks of Ukraine during one day – was officially registered in tourist complex “Bukovel”.

During 5 days 5 young snowboarders and skiers from Ukraine (Stanislav Bezusov, Kateryna Cherednichenko, Vyacheslav Ryabykin, Yuriy Derbakh, Andriy Pilleroa) had their training and technical lessons in Bukovel to establish a record and conquer the highest peaks of Ukrainian Carpathians – mt.Petros, mt.Goverla, mt.Rebra, mt.Brebeneskul, mt.Gutyn-Tomnatek, mt.Pip Ivan.

These bravehearts together with Dierctor of TC “Bukovel” Olexandr Shevchenko in 6 hours accomplished the heliski downhill from six Carpathian peaks with skis and snowboards. Stanislav Bezusov, the initiator of the event says: “One could only dream to make it true and we could really fulfill the downhill from the highest peaks, but with the help and support of TC “Bukovel” this dream came true”. Vyacheslav Rybkin who readily agreed to participate in record establishing also shared his impressions: “My friends and I are really excited with this event; we were pleased with the combination of safety precautions, level of organization and quality of skiing during the record establishment”.

Such heliski events Bukovel conducts annually, Olexandr Shevchenko says, as besides the popularization of healthy lifestyle among youth they also master professional skills of skiers. They set new targets and show all the multiversity opportunities of our Carpathian Mountains for active and healthy winter recreation.

Ganna Krysyuk, the representative of National project “Book of records of Ukraine” was present when the record was documented. She and other experts officially registered and confirmed the record of Ukraine was established. It took six hours to achieve this record. “I’m happy our young people set this high targets and do their best to achieve them. I would like to congratulate all who were part of the record of Ukraine and express my gratitude to TC “Bukovel” for promotion of young and talented and for popularization of healthy and active lifestyle” – Ganna Krysyuk says.

It’s really pleasant that even sunny weather supported and helped the young freeriders during the record establishment.
